Audi E-Tron Spyder

Audi’s new concept car, the E-Tron Spyder is a prototype that’s currently under development in California. The hybrid electric vehicle comes loaded with a battery and diesel engine. The styling is very much in tune with Audi philosophy: slick, modern and futuristic.

Blame it on Rap

Sorry for the neglection, its been a busy time in life lately. Me and my Gf just moved into a house and are gettin settled. Ive had the great opportunity of collaborating with some of Barrie's most talented emcees. A community cypher at the local studio ( Unity Market ) makes networking and building a weekly event. With 'TheLab' now open you never know who could be dropping by. With a song being produced every week, a full body of work should be available to the masses soon. I may be holding a contest for the cover so stay tuned into the blog for details. My last release "Got no Time" explains just that. When I record Im staying focused on bringing you songs you can relate to. Creation is whats lacking in my opinion from alot of hip hop so Im striving to stay clever with it all. Special Thanks to Unity Studios, L.S, Travis Prout, Mindset, Brad Ex and everyone involved with the project. Conscious Rap coming soon!!

V-Moda M-80 Headphones

If you're serious about music, the V-Moda M-80 headphones may be for you. V-80 was engineered to expose the finer details and range of your favorite recordings while making you feel like you are experiencing them live. At the heart of the V-80 is its patent-pending and biggest-in-class 40mm Dual-Diaphragm High-Fidelity Drivers that deliver multi-driver sound with the efficiency of a single driver. This technology allows the V-80 to deliver the response and range of multiple drivers with the energy efficiency of a single, smaller driver.
Also, a unique combination of noise isolation and acoustic channeling technologies was used to add multi-dimensional layers to the listening environment. Supple BLISS memory foam ear cushions isolate noise. The specially tuned V-PORT and memory cushions create a true 3D sound stage versus fully closed-back headphones by directing air out of the ports to maintain noise isolation. The headphone go for $230 a pop.

June Update!

Whats Good World!? June is here so I wanted to update everyone on whats been happening. Firstly, a big shout out to the Live Loud Project for their community cyphers. Its contributors like this that keep the hip hop I remember as a kid alive. A non-violent approach and support from rappers all over the city; what could be more inspiring? My September release is still underway. Instead of recording a song or two at a time, Ive decided to write the entire thing first. This not only gives me a chance to tweak anything when its completed, but also ensures my voice stays the same throughout the tape. Ive heard enough rap that sounds different because of the 'basement style' recording. S/o to James Disilva for the wake up aswell. Though the concept is undeniable, the tape's title is still in the air. With all the flash and photo shoots, media outlets and videography I sometimes feel the music itself is being over looked. I dont want to be another 'taking it back' cliche, but hip hop has gotta get that vibe again. Stay tuned on the website and follow me on Twitter to hear all the info first! STAY UP CANADA!

May Weather ..

I'm feeling back on top of things. Reaching out to the musical community here has been more welcoming then I would of expected. Rap and RnB are thriving at the moment and producers are always keen on keeping an ear out for the next emcee. Conversing with Jazz Feezy, (whom is mega man behind some super smash hits in Barrie at the moment) he recommend I go to a particular engineer with quite the underground reputation; Sunny Diamonds. He works out of the seemingly hidden Lab Studio's. With the rise of a few local talents making there faces known, studios are becoming busier and music is now a popular form of self expression among young kids. Since careers like Bieber have set a standard I think music is taking a turn for the better. Yes. Although misconceptions still swarm the image of a 'rapper', that will never stop me from doing what I do. My goal is still to make conscious rap for the unconscious mind.
Building a team in a new city can be intimidating, but selling yourself should come to no problem if you want to make it anywhere in the music business. People out here are eager to work and I like being surrounded by that. Also shout out to Phax for holdin me down and pointing me in the right direction. Within the next few weeks I plan on recording a bunch of new material. I've also lost what ever writers block I had since moving and write every chance I get.

Strong will continue

Skripture and Kurt Hustle are at it again. The familiar face of Norfolk and Haldimand region; Kurt Hustle has been recoding music from his outdoor two-story garage which is fully equipped with a mixing board and all the essentials needed to make hit after hit. Having done a song together last year, I knew it was time to rekindle where we get along best. Covering a Nas beat is in my opinion, of high regard, However with the island drum lines and Damien Marley's infectious chorus..how could I refuse NOT get on this. Enjoy this one and have fun with it. Shout out to the whole ColurBlind Camp!

Barrie: Return of the Red Eye

Officially announcing this May, I will be back in the populated native retreat Barrie Ontario. With a whole slew of opportunities and offers on the table, I'm looking forward to making an impact this summer. Musically speaking, I'm hoping to finally get into the studio with super producer JazzFeezy who's recorded the likes of Daxflow, Pdollaz and Hardbody of M.U.F. Making the move for Spring is the perfect time to get the ball rolling. With the help of Liquid Chrome and Chrome Age Promotions, huge celebs making monthly appearances Such as Wu tang, Busta Rhymes, and performing tonite at the Roxx Niteclub; T-pain.(Flyermake Barrie a hot spot and perfect blueprint for a downtown strip that never sleeps. My previous stay in Barrie was short lived. Problems with a struggling addiction that just recently I've come to turns with, kept me from putting my foot in the door. This time around I've linked up with a few like minds and plan on embodying, what I feel, is still an untouched playground for a local hip hop leader. Living with my soul mate, inspiration and future manager Skye, our infectious energy together will no doubt spread like wild fire one show at a time. With performances riddled with magic, knowledge and live Instruments, the rap scene is about to get a taste of Skripture that few will forget.

To Whom it may concern..

Apologies for the lack of blog posts, Things have been a little crazy lately. Between music and my personal life. One has taken precedence. Truthfully, I am still dealing with alot of demons. I have put the album on hiatus due to this. I've decided to finally face the inner psyche that has been holding me back for a long time. The party life has had a great impact on my existence. Though I wouldn't change the past for it has created whom I have become, the future is uncertain at this point. My writings have become bitter and out of these 3 new songs I don't want to release either of them. Whatever fan base I have created to this point would be sorely disappointed. To anyone who really listens to Skripture, just know that I will emerge bigger and better than ever before. I should be gone a few months. Until then, please keep supporting Canadian music. Be back soon.
Sincerely
Skripture

Then and Now

Lyricist, Writer, Poet and creative visionary are just a few words to describe underground hip hop artist Dillan Leslie aka Skripture, the 26 year, Burlington, ON native who first began crafting hip hop songs as a young tyke in 1999 at the tale end of hip-hops golden era. In the mid-90's he would begin to make tracks and hit the studio with his childhood friends and partners in rhyme.
2000 would see his first official release in the form of a group released promotional disc (The Fall of Man) and later that same year his first solo release (The Paradox).
This release gained modest interest and respect from across the globe. Called a breath of fresh air by many, Skriptz has come to represent the epitome of the term hip-hop artist. He is currently working on a plethora of collaborative efforts with multiple artists as well as putting in work on his sophomore independent solo release.
From the new album, 'Poison' is yet another highlight, where Skripture's lyrics are right on point, at a peak level, and of course the beat is of similar standard. The track has a mysterious, almost spiritual sound to it. 'Elixer' accelerates the pace of the album, involving more aggressive lyrics and heated content. This specific track illustrates the diversity which he can extend to, furthermore it is one of the catchiest hooks on the entire album.
