June Update!

Whats Good World!? June is here so I wanted to update everyone on whats been happening. Firstly, a big shout out to the Live Loud Project for their community cyphers. Its contributors like this that keep the hip hop I remember as a kid alive. A non-violent approach and support from rappers all over the city; what could be more inspiring? My September release is still underway. Instead of recording a song or two at a time, Ive decided to write the entire thing first. This not only gives me a chance to tweak anything when its completed, but also ensures my voice stays the same throughout the tape. Ive heard enough rap that sounds different because of the 'basement style' recording. S/o to James Disilva for the wake up aswell. Though the concept is undeniable, the tape's title is still in the air. With all the flash and photo shoots, media outlets and videography I sometimes feel the music itself is being over looked. I dont want to be another 'taking it back' cliche, but hip hop has gotta get that vibe again. Stay tuned on the website and follow me on Twitter to hear all the info first! STAY UP CANADA!

May Weather ..

I'm feeling back on top of things. Reaching out to the musical community here has been more welcoming then I would of expected. Rap and RnB are thriving at the moment and producers are always keen on keeping an ear out for the next emcee. Conversing with Jazz Feezy, (whom is mega man behind some super smash hits in Barrie at the moment) he recommend I go to a particular engineer with quite the underground reputation; Sunny Diamonds. He works out of the seemingly hidden Lab Studio's. With the rise of a few local talents making there faces known, studios are becoming busier and music is now a popular form of self expression among young kids. Since careers like Bieber have set a standard I think music is taking a turn for the better. Yes. Although misconceptions still swarm the image of a 'rapper', that will never stop me from doing what I do. My goal is still to make conscious rap for the unconscious mind.
Building a team in a new city can be intimidating, but selling yourself should come to no problem if you want to make it anywhere in the music business. People out here are eager to work and I like being surrounded by that. Also shout out to Phax for holdin me down and pointing me in the right direction. Within the next few weeks I plan on recording a bunch of new material. I've also lost what ever writers block I had since moving and write every chance I get.
