I'm feeling back on top of things. Reaching out to
the musical community here has been more welcoming then I would of
expected. Rap and RnB are thriving at the moment and producers are
always keen on keeping an ear out for the next emcee. Conversing with
Jazz Feezy, (whom is mega man behind some super smash hits in Barrie at
the moment) he recommend I go to a particular engineer with quite the underground reputation; Sunny Diamonds. He works out of the seemingly hidden Lab Studio's.
With the rise of a few local talents making there faces known, studios
are becoming busier and music is now a popular form of self expression
among young kids. Since careers like Bieber have set a standard I think
music is taking a turn for the better. Yes. Although misconceptions
still swarm the image of a 'rapper', that will never stop me from doing
what I do. My goal is still to make conscious rap for the unconscious
mind.
Building a team in a new city can be intimidating, but
selling yourself should come to no problem if you want to make it
anywhere in the music business. People out here are eager to work and I
like being surrounded by that. Also shout out to Phax for holdin me down
and pointing me in the right direction. Within the next few weeks I
plan on recording a bunch of new material. I've also lost what ever
writers block I had since moving and write every chance I get.
